23-9-2009 - Update -Thank you- on baby shower blues

My mood while writing this blog: Happy

Thank you everyone that replied to my blog regarding baby shower blues. There were so many great ideals brought up...so far I have spent about 30 bucks and will spend about 30-40 more on food because I am preparing the food myself. She is buying the cake, it is custom made by someone she knows and it will cost less than 40 bucks.

To answer some of the questions I do not understand why she feels that we do not need food because I have asked her and she really did not give a good reason. The first reponse she gave me was you do not want people eating all over your nice furniture...we use our furniture it is not for display...then she said the time does not suggest food. I will not buy trays just the items to make the trays.

I may make a pasta salad as reeree suggested...I have all of the ingredients because I make this pasta salad often.

The menu is as follows:

Vegetable platter

2 liters sparkling water or soda

Fruit platter

Cheese platter

Meatballs

Deviled eggs

Wings
