My mood while writing this blog: Ok |
Well it's finally happened. The joy of not being able to sleep. If I lay on my right side, I wake up with horrible back and hip pain! I use a pillow between my legs too and no relief. If I lay on my left side, same thing. I can't even lay on my back for long as she likes to start kicking and pushing on my spine. I had to get up at 2 am and go lay on the firm couch after taking two Tylenol. I finally fell back asleep for about an hour. Whooppee. I feel great otherwise. My mental state is awesome, I'm happy. It's just the back pain now. I called the prenatal masseuse and am going after work today. They charge 65 bucks and right now, even though I can't really spare it, I sooo AM! I could cry with happiness that I am finally getting relief. I've asked hubby for backrubs but you know how that goes!! They rub in one spot for like a minute and quit. I'm surprised he didn't want sex. Well, ok, he
did but I thought that would help!! LOL If any of you are having this issue, please let me know how to fix it. Love you all!!

Saturday, 13 Jun lol at your hubby wanting sex after massaging you. They can never do it without getting aroused, yet we can. You do know after 20 weeks you should never sleep on your back, it prevents proper blood circulation to the baby. I know I've caught myself a few times getting ready to do it to, but then turn on my left side. The right puts to much pressure on your kidney and other organs, which is why they say to sleep on your left side. One position is the most annoying thing in the world. I'm a natural sleeper on my stomach, so none of them are comfortable for me anyway. I've got a boppy pillow which I sleep with between my legs and it really does work. A regular pillow really doesnt. Also you should prop a regular pillow against your back at night. It may help. Good luck. I hope you feel better. soon2bemamaof4 -
Monday, 1 Jun Ohh, back pain is miserable---especially if it is affecting your sleep! Thank goodness you get to go get your massage, I hope it helps! Maybe they will be able to offer suggestions to keep you more comfortable. I highly recommend getting a body pillow if you don't have one. Mine has worked wonders for me, and we also got a miracle foam mattress pad that has helped a great deal too. I know how it goes with getting men to help with a decent back rub, but I would keep pushing if I were you....lay it on thick, lol. After all, you are really in pain and he doesn't have to deal with it at all. Promise you'll make it up to him if he does a good job. ; ) Good luck & feel better!
