20-6-2009 - Getting ready for baby...Nursery and Stroller!!!

My mood while writing this blog: excited!!!

I'm a teacher and I've been waiting until the end of the school year (1 week away, woohoo) to start to set up the Nursery. We picked up the crib, and change table/dresser yesterday from Sear's...we've been waiting over a month for it to come in. We also have the mattress, bedding and mobile already. All of this was a gift from my mom and dad! Love you guys!

My hubby and I are so excited to get the room ready! He painted over a month ago, we just needed the furniture to fill it (and the baby too of course!). The room is a moca brown and the furniture is white. I'll post pics when the room is done...though it may be a work in process b/c I have the whole summer off to decorate it and a friend of mine has volunteered to help me paint a tree mural.

Last week we got our next 'big' gift. My hubbies parents, my hubbie and I went stroller shopping...kind of like shopping for a car. I knew which one I wanted, but they all had to check out the strollers for themselves. They ended up getting us a Orange/ Brown BOB Revolution Stroller (a top of the line ATV Jogging stroller with huge bike tires), which the baby carrier will attach to. HORRAY BOB! It handles great (turns on a dime) and is not so big that I won't be able to take it in stores. Great for rough terrain...it has shocks too! The travel systems (such as Graco) just seemed to bulky and did not handle well. The BOB will be a good investment, well worth it, so excited to try it out (maybe with my 1 year old niece). Research it, if you have not heard of BOB, you'll be happy you did.
