| 14-6-2009 - 8 weeks!! | My mood while writing this blog:sleepy |
I can't believe it has been 8 weeks since my little stink bug came into the world! She now rolls onto her back as soon as you put her on her belly. She is so stubborn. She has a pretty decent sleep schedule. During the day is always different, but she usually sleeps through dinner, then after eating around 8 or 9 she sleeps until 230 - 3 am, then wakes again between 5 and 6, and then I nurse her in the bed with me until I am ready to get up. I think she would sleep more during the night, but she is constantly wetting out of her diaper, (a size 2) and that obviously makes her very mad. When I took her in to get her lump checked, she was already 13 lbs 1oz. She is my chunky monkey for sure!!
Now about my own personal issues............... BIRTH CONTROL. I am scheduled to have the Mirena put in on Wednesday, but i am having some ethical concerns and wouldn't mind some input. I am a strong believer in life at conception, ( what other people believe is totally up to them, and I will not judge others' opinions). But this being the case, I'm not sure if believing life starts at conception, and then having the mirena put in would violate my ethical belief. Okay here is why............ I don't believe it is wrong to try and moniter your own fertility to keep from getting pregnant, I do not have a problem with using birth control, HOWEVER, I am not for fertilizing eggs, and then using a method to keep that egg from thriving. SO, apparently the mirena does a couple of things. You still ovulate, but this device makes it difficult for the sperm to ever reach the egg, but if the egg is fertilized, then it keeps you uterine lining so thin that this egg can not attach to the wall of the uterus. So I guess that is where I kinda feel like it might be the wrong choice for me. I know some ladies might think that I am totally over thinking this whole thing, I would just like some input on what you may have heard about this specific method of birth control, and maybe help me make an informed decision. My DH says that he can't help because I am the one that has to deal with it. Hmmmm,..... thanks a bunches :) My mom just says to never have sex again, and my grandma says that she got pregnant 3 different times on 3 different kinds of birth control. so now I'm going to see what you ladies think. Thanks a whole lot!!
Good luck to all of ladies TTC, and I hope all my PG friends are comfortable!!
