| 18-9-2008 - Gender check ultrasound | My mood while writing this blog:grateful/blessed |
I would obviously love it no matter what it came out to be, but we couldn't find a cute boy name so I was very frustrated. The tech starts looking around with the U/S thing and the baby is spread eagle. No penis was there but I thought I saw a line or something that resembeld one. the tech kept looking at it from different angles and she kept saying it's a girl. We decided to name her Kenzie Rose Severin. Rose is after my Great Grandmother who passed away when I was 13. And I just fell in love with the name Kenzie when i first heard it years ago. I knew my daughter would have that name. Richard was perfectly fine with it.
I was so shocked. I started crying and held my husbands hand as we saw the profile, the arms and feet. her tootsies are so tiny. We were amazed at how developed she is only being 5 inches long. After we figured out it was a girl, she closed her legs. (she better! didn't get the spread eagle thing from Mommy!) So we got the perfect pose from her to find out. We saw her with her hand behind her head like how her daddy sleeps.
every time I look at her Ultrasound pictures, I cry. Life is so amazing- or I am just so hormonal....!!! My grandmothers bought us alot of girl clothes when they found out we were pregnant so they told me it better be a girl or they'd have to have a huge yard sale! so when I told them about it being a girl, I said they didn't have to have a yard sale. they were so excited, they cried which made me cry more.
All of the family is so excited. Richard keeps saying he wants time to fast forward to December so he can hold his baby girl. I think I can wait because I know the first while is no picnic. I am going to enjoy this 2nd trimester for as long as I can!
We went to FEDEX Kinkos to get the picutres on a disc, so while that was going on, we went over to Walmart. I picked out a couple of outfits for her and asked Richard to find something from him. He went right to the boy section and picked out a Greenbay Packers jersey for 0-3 months and a Greenbay Packers onesie for 0-3 months. He said that she can wear it while watching football with her daddy. That was so cute! even though he had his heart set on a boy first, I think he'll do fine with a girl.
I will try to upload the disc on here, but it's on adobe format, so if anyone knows how to do that, let me know. I am lost when it comes to computers! I
I can't wait to feel her kick. I feel popcorn bubbles every now and then, but I think some of it is gas. LOL!!
Later!
