03-10-2008 - dr appt and more events

My mood while writing this blog: happy!

My last dr appt on wednesday was interesting. My Grandma whom we all cal Meme came with as well as my Aunt and 8 yr old cousin. I had an ultrasound scheduled so they all wanted to come. The baby is so big now. She measured right on track for 28 wk 0day and she weighs 2 lb 13 oz and is in the 85 percentile for her weight. I had my glucose test all day that day too in the morning. I failed the first one, so I had to take the 3 hr test. So back to the appt- the US tech did the transvaginal and found out that I am funnelling to the stitch but I am not dilating. the tech said that the stitch is holding up and doing it's job. so we went up to see my dr and Meme wouldn't stop talking for me to ask all my questions! ahh! I asked my dr if there's a chance I can go back to work at 32 weeks to appease my boss and she said no way.

I told her I had been having to look at houses the last two weeks because we sold ours and she said only one house at a time. I wasn't able to ask if its normal for the funnelling to happen or if I am ok like this. all she said was she wanted to give me a steroid shot to mature Kenzie's lungs just in case. Before she never mentioned any fear of me having the baby before 37 weeks so her fear really scared me. I realize that I might have been overdoing it by getting up a bit more and trying to get my body into shape so I am not breathless from just talking. But that is happening anyways from being pregnant!

I have nonstop acid reflux and breathlessness. which I was also unable to talk to my dr about because of my Grandma. I asked my aunt if we can start going alone again because I get too distracted and obviously so does my dr. I find out my test results on Monday- I hope it comes back ok!!! the US tech gave me a dvd of the US so I could bring it home to my hubby because he was unable to be there because of work. He thought it was cute! Kenzie was opening her mouth and sticking out her tongue. She was being such a doll for every one!
