03-10-2008 - We found a house!!!

My mood while writing this blog: excited!

My husband and I put an offer on a house on Tuesday night. The house was set up very oddly and didn't have a front room and the third bedroom was a cubby space. The basement was unfinished so I would have to put a second child in the cubby space of a room. Of course that would be 2-3 yrs away, but still. the garage was so small that we couldn't fit our truck in it. to me, what is the point of buying it? Also, it wasn't fully fenced so our dogs would have to be on chains while they're outside- I don't think that would be very fair. So, I settled on it anyway because it was the only home on the market we saw that wasn't a short sale that could take the bank up to 5 months to approve.

You might be wondering where the exciting part is..... well that night after placign the offer on that house, I went online and found a house we had never given a though at because it was a little more south than we wanted to be. I looked at it and it was wonderful. I showed pictures to my hubby and he said he'll consider it but he loved the other house. this house has 200 sq ft less than the other, but looks alot bigger, and it sits on .27 acres. huge lot for a small price out in Riverton! I immediately called our realtor and told her we found this house and I want to look at it.

She said she already turned in the offer and so we would have to hurry up and look at the other hosue in the morning. I went to look at the house without my hubby because he was at work. I loved the house. it feels and looks alot bigger than 2400 sq ft. It has 5 bedrooms, a wet bar, a game room, 3 bathrooms and of course, the huge yard with corn stalks and a garden. I called my hubby and told him that I want the house so badly. He told me ok and we made the offer. Thank goodness he let me sign on his behalf!

The house we made the previous offer on actually approved the offer but countered on the possesion date, and that was the only way we got out of it. They were upset we bailed out, but my realtor explained that the house didn't provide functional space for the baby and our life styles with the tiny front room and the guest bedroom. My husband went and looked at the new house I put an offer on and he loved it. Even he said it felt bigger than the last one, even though it says its not. I am so glad we found that house. I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason and I think me thinking about having to settle on that one house made me wander to find something else.

We have a month to close and move out of this house we're in because we sold it last week. My family is going to help pack and move and unpack. I need to focus on staying down as much as I can because I dont' want to harm the baby in any way. I get the cerclage out in 9 weeks, 9 weeks!!!! I have to repeat that because I can't even believe we will be bringing our baby home to a wonderful house and to finally meet her and to be able to hold her will be a dream come true. I am so blessed by life right now. Things are truly working out for the best. I never thought I would get over the depression that bedrest has brought upon me, but I have to figure out that there's a bigger plan and all this is nothing compared to my baby girl. She is really all that matters right now. I just need to set my selfish human wants like going to get a starbucks to the side for a while. And I think I can handle that for 9 more weeks!
