12-11-2008 - 34 week appt update

My mood while writing this blog: nervous, anxious

Today was my 34 week check up and I figured I would be told I had some changes in my pregnancy. I have been feeling some pressure on my cervix and pelvic area so I figured the baby has dropped but I still feel her tootsies in my ribs. So today during my cervical exam, I found out the baby has indeed dropped some. I asked the Dr if that means I will have cerclage out next week and she just said that we'll keep an eye on it and hopefully I can last until Dec 3. So thats good to know.

I haven't gained any weight in the past 3 weeks so I am guessing the baby is getting it all. she has got to be long if I can feel her in my ribs after she has dropped some! I feel incredibly fortunate to still be pregnant and to know my daughter is still safe inside me and that its not a hostile environment for her. I had a dream last night that my dr told me that the baby wasn't growing anymore and she needed to come out. Like maybe I had problems with my placenta or something.

I am a little on the frazzeled side knowing the baby has dropped some. I just hope she doesn't drop the rest of the way. I am not ready to see her yet! I mean that in a nice way. I would like her to be in there so she can come home with us from the hospital and not have to stay. I am looking forward to staying down and not doing anything for the next 3 weeks because I know it will be the last time I will have a chance to rest for the next 20 years or so!
