09-8-2009 - MIL driving me nuts!!

My mood while writing this blog: Irritated

Hey Ladies,

So we have been TTC and in midst of all, my MIL has come to stay with us for SIX months!! As sad I was to hear the news....I accepted it thinking my hubby missed his family. Well, she is extremely weird and talks about her future grandchildren ALL THE TIME..........Little that I knew she was keeping tabs on my period dates and would question me every month if I got my period! It freaks me out and just can't stand her behavior. I know she wants grandchildren soon and even we want to have a healthy baby....but this is supposed to be private....It is plain weird. On top of it she discusses my possibly missed period / late period date with my sister-in-law!! I have never met more strange family! So my big plans of keeping everything hush hush would not happen if I get pregnant. I thought this time me and DH would decide how and when to announce when we will be ready....but I am definitely sure that my MIL will put it on the morning news even before I will have a chance to confirm the whole deal! I hate this and wish that she would just go away! I discussed it with DH and he tried to explain her to be discreet and have patience.....but she blew the whole thing out of proportion and declared that we did not want to share any news with her and that we didn't consider her a part of the family and that 'I' was being unreasonable. She ended with saying that I owed her one as she "gave" her son to me!!

I can't imagine a person like this.......if nothing it adds additional stress to my already stressful life....ugggghhh....just wanted to vent.
