14-11-2009 - Week 20 update

Hey ladies,

My most awaited week is here...welcome week 20! So since past few weeks I have been feeling these strange things from inside which I could not comprehend. It started around the end of week 17.....I realized whenever I wore something snug near my lower belly some kind of bubbles fluttered in my tummy.....I thought boy I have to cut down on the salad! By the end of week 19 these flutters were more pronounced ....and then it dawned on me that all this while my lil bub was saying hi to me :) so now I enjoy every now and then movements. Its funny they are too many some days and too few the other days....but I enjoy them.

My belly has popped out for sure....everyone can make out the bun is in the oven :) Only limited wardrobe fits now. Last week I also went for my regular checkup with the doc. We had our ultrasound...lil bub was asleep...not moving and shaking like it does at night time....she measured its legs, head and the belly. The heart was beating fine as well. She showed us the kidney and stomach. Her machine was way too hazy so couldn't see things properly. Then she went south to check the gender and smart lil bubs didn't cooperate....legs were closed and umbilical cord was in between the legs....so could not figure out the gender of the baby. Anyways the baby looked healthy and she reassured us of its well being.

We requested her for a higher degree scan...which I thought was a routine thing and she would give us anyways....but it seemed that it was not really the protocol....but she understood our circumstances and gave us one for next week. I will have to go to another hospital for this scan. I am praying very hard for this scan to show all positive things. I am thankful to god for all the positivity in this pregnancy so far, I hope it carries on.

Keeping my fingers crossed. Please pray for my lil bubs.
