16-4-2008 - 35 week check up

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

So I went to yesterday’s check up didn't get my cervix checked...nor will I unless I’m passed my due date… My midwives say there is no value in knowing how dilated my cervix is because it doesn't change anything, the baby will come when he comes....which sucks ass!! She was like “i'm sure you hear all your friends are doing it”... (YES! and I want it done too damit!!) Well .5lbs weight gain…so I guess nothing really changed….(165.5) However, my visit two weeks ago my fundal height measurement was 35cm…I’ve always been measuring 2 weeks ahead…but it’s been consistent so they said that’s just how my baby grows….however yesterday I was at 39cm!!!! WTH!!! I was like what the hell does that mean?!?! She was like how the baby has most likely grown and to take into consideration my fluid. She said from what it feels like I have a good amount of fluid…nothing to worry about though. See, I have two midwifes that I’m supposed to meet with every other appointment, and out of the two one will deliver the baby…whoever is on call that day. So for the past 3 months I’ve been seeing one midwife only because the other one’s schedule doesn’t coincide with mine, and she has also taken vacations… However, I met the one I don’t’ see, yesterday, and she was saying that her and my other midwife could both measure differently…and that I can get a measurement at next weeks appointment with the one I see regularly and see what her measurement is…then I can decide if I want to get a u/s to check my fluid…but it’s up to me…because even if I do have a lot of fluid nothing will be done except if they have to break my water they will do it in a controlled way or some mess like that…(sometimes they lose me along the way). Anyways she felt around and his head is engaged in my pelvis and his heart beat was 131…and his position is great. He was trying to move away from her when she was feeling up his back and bum…I guess lil man don’t like to be bothered. Then she hit me with the WHAM BAM…what everyone and they mama been saying to me…that lil man is going to be over 8lbs when he’s born…WTH!! LIL OL’ ME…All of 5’2…used to be a nice 127lbs…pushing out a 8lber?!?!!? I started praying over my parts last night and telling God to be with it during the whole time! LOL…..She was like that’s not a bad thing and your baby will grow according to your size and your body unless something is wrong and he is healthy. She said also that people can’t just look at my belly and say I’m having a big baby cuz your belly doesn’t have EVERYTHING to do with it…as we all know. Well Johnny was happy to hear that…I dunno why but he gets a kick out of the baby being big…like he’s gonna place him in football as soon as he comes out! He’s not the one that has to push is all I say. Whatever, though…I knew from the 3D u/s that I was having a chunk butt (lilmissred) lol. Well everything was fine my blood pressure is normal, and my Hemoglobin blood test from last week came back normal, (lower than before, but it’s normal for it to change) Just have to balance out my protein, carbs, fluids and etc. Did my Group B Strep test...weird ass test...lol...did it all by myself...i hope that comes back negative..Well i'm onto my every week appointments and it feels great to be at this point! I hope my muscle man comes earlier than May 20...Jae...just like you said....later than week 37 but anytime before the due date is fine with us!!
