04-6-2008 - 17 days!!

My mood while writing this blog: Ok

Can't believe that my little babe is 17 days old, it really feels like yesterday that I brought him home from the hospital. It's really true that they say time flies. I'm soaking up every moment with him. He's such a beautiful baby. I still can't believe that he is all mine. I find myself holding him at night and saying out loud "You're all mine" lol. He had his 2 week check up yesterday, and he's 10lbs 2oz!!! That's my lil chunker, I guess breast feeding is going really well; another blessing from God! He's become a bit fussier as of late, I think I got him addicted to sleeping on me, so he doesn't sleep very long in his bassinet or bouncer, well not as long as he would sleep on my chest. They say to put the baby to sleep in his crib/bassinet, but hell when I came home I was too damn sore to get up and get him every 2/3 hours, so he was right beside me. And honestly, the fact that I carried him for 9 months in my belly, I did not see it as any good to just have him sleep by himself like that, I would find that more traumatic for him, he's already wondering where the hell he is, in this new world, being close to me and feeling my heart beat like he did in my womb would be more soothing. Oh well.

I'm doing better, not as sore, my muscles between my legs are still a lil sore, feels like i did the workout of a life time, hell I DID! lol, but my stitches are healing and all. I've lost 20lbs, now i got 20 more to lose to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight. I still got my Kangaroo pouch as i would call it. I haven't even slept on my stomach yet, a) I'm used to not sleeping on it from pregnancy and b) i never had a mushy belly before so feeling that under me feels HELLA weird. I revert back to sleeping on my sides, a lil on my belly, but not fully! I'm all stretch marked up, so never will a bikini see me again! Oh well, I have a beautiful son to show for it, so it's all worth it. Johnny says it's ok, he doesn't care or find me less attractive, he thanks me for carrying his son. He's so sweet, even if it's a load of crap..LOL.

Well that's all for now, I'm just loving being a mom, gonna go take lil man to go get some photos done tomorrow, and I'm actually gonna enroll us in some mom and infants classes, so I have some things to do during the day, because TLC can only entertain me so much during the day, outside of Zachai entertaining me with his many facial expressions and grunts and noises. I call him "My Lil' Pony" because he makes these horse type noises, it's so cute, can't call him a horse so he's my Pony! I know I'm cheesy, but he makes me cheesy!
