28-11-2008 - 6 months and counting!

My mood while writing this blog: Blessed

I know I've been MIA from this site, so I think it's about time to do a little update. Well Mr. Zachai is now 6 months old (as of last week tuesday). He's a big boy, 21.5lbs and 25inces long. He is growing wonderfully and is a joy to be around. He is so happy and playful, I couldn't ask for a better lil boy. I started him on cereal a month ago, and I feed it to him by the bowl and he's good witht that, I started him on the baby foods about 3 weeks ago and he LOVES his sweet potato and apple. He also likes his string beans, and sweet peas suprisingly, and prunes, pears, he's not a huge fan of peaches, but he will tolerate it. So the food introduction went pretty well, however, the consitpation that followed and still follows some days was scary and heart wrenching to watch him in pain trying to push out his poo. I'm giving him prune juice as well throughout the day and that helps a little. He's still breastfeeding and that's still going fine for me, I'll probably will stop by the time he is year, I know I wont go past that.

He sits up all by himself, he's actually been doing that for the past few months, he was a early starter with that, and now he is trying to creep, and moved a bit today, it was so cute, but too quick for me to catch it on video. He is down on his belly swimming around or bouncing on his hands and knees; I'm sure he will take off any day now. He is so inquistive and observant in his surroundings. He turns at the slightest sound, and its amazing to see how they change. It feels like just yesterday that Johnny was getting worried that he may be cross-eyed because his eyes would lose focus and cross, lol, now his head turns full circle when he hears keys in the front door! He has started saying the whole "dadadadadada" bit and i'm hating! Although, we all know he's really not saying daddy, you still rather hear "mamama", soon enough though. He has the biggest smile and the greatest laugh in the world. He is also the spit king!
