13-4-2008 - hospital visit sore!My mood while writing this blog:
sore!

Friday night I could not bear it any more...my back had been so extremely sore for a week and a half that finally my husband decided to take me to the hospital. We got there around 10pm and they sent me to the maternity ward. The nurses checked the baby and all was fine with him. Heartbeat was strong and I was not dialated at all. So one of the nurses was asking me where I was sore and felt my back. She was like "Oh my gosh! I feel your muscles spasming continuously!" I am thinking, duh, I have been telling everyone that for over a week now! They sent me back down to emergency care where I got a shot of demerol (which did absolutely nothing but put me to sleep for about two hours.) I woke up a couple of hours later, at home and in even more pain than before. They had also prescribed Vicadin which my husband went and got the prescription filled for me. It works wonders!!! I am trying to be careful not to take it every 6 hours and hold off for as long as I can between pills. But, oh the relief!!! Doctor says this back pain is not going to go away until my son arrives, so look out world- I'm probably going to be on a tear for the next 4 weeks!
