14-1-2010 - ~*2 months/prayers please*~

My mood while writing this blog: Crushed

~*Wow where do I start? I guess I'll start with his weight and all. Well he is now 10lbs 11oz!!!! And is 23inches long which in weight he's right under 50% and height and head is 50% so he is right on track! The GERD is not an issue for now! They are gonna keep watching his weight! He had 4 shots and a vac by mouth. I hate when they do that his was so red in the face It breaks my heart! He cried so much yesterday and wanted nothing but me to cuddle him! I couldn't put him down for a sec! He is doing 100% better today tho poor thing! So now lets get to the bad part......He has something wrong with his little boy parts and the doctors are very worried and is sending him to the children's hosp (MUSC) 2 hours away from where we live to meet with the same surgeon that fixed my 1 year old's GERD on the 28th! They said he will have to have surgery to fix this and wouldn't tell me more! Thier ped is NEVER like that with us! He knows us on a personal level and has always answered any of our qesutions so this has me VERY scared! So will everyone PLEASE pray for our little guy! 3 of our children have had life or death surgery and we thought we would get a normal baby this time and not have to worry about MUSC or any of this! I am so crushed right now and I feel like I have let down my son! All of the hard work to keep him from that place and all seems like it was for nothing!*~

My little guy has to have surgery next month on his winky as well...we wanted to have him circumcised just after he was born but his doc said something about the underside seam of his on his winky to his testicals being pulled too tight so she gave him a few months for it to grow out like it should so that when circ is done they dont take too much off or too little so it wont make it look weird for when he is a man...the law here in NV is that if it isnt done within 30 days of birth it has to then be refered to a pediatric urologist to do...so my poor little guy is set for surgery the end of next month & I am a nervous reck about it because he cant eat 6-8 hrs before surgery (only clear liquids allowed) & they are putting him under so that means an IV & a throat tube for breathing..ugh, I hate thinking about it...I know his urologist know what he is doing & all but this is my little baby who will only be 3 months old at the time so I am like I said, a nervous reck about it. So it sucks & I so feel you on being upset about & worried, you do have a right to be concerned that the doc didnt explain anything to you...that is a must as far as I am concern & I would be calling the docs or even my refering doc to get a clear answer of what is going on. I will be praying for your little guy. hope everything is ok

Hun, nothing you can do about God's plan. Not your fault! I will say a prayer that the surgery will go well and he will lead a normal life.

hi, my boy rhys has hyposadias and cordee which means he is going t have to have surgery at 6 months to straighten out since penis. They also thought he had a herina, but now they thinkhe doesn't. is this what theythink your LO has? If so- its a very common surgery and i hear pediatric urologists are pros at performing it! My thoughts are with u, no surgery is fun. all the best.
