01-7-2009 - I hate NST's!

I am so happy to be home after today! What a nightmare! Yesterday had my NST and the baby b's heart rate was low at times....today went to doctor for u/s to measure fluid.....baby b's heart rate was through the roof so the sent me to the high risk hospital. Got all hooked up and the babies were fine and continued to be fine for 7 hours. I hate to argue my release bc they wanted to keep over night in this crappy so uncomfortable hospital room with an IV I didnt even need!!!!! It was truely the worst experience. Everytime they came in they said the baby's heart rates were great! uA brand new resident came in and tried to do an u/s cldn't even find one head. He put the entire bottle of gel on my belly before beginning. He was such an idiot! Then just in case I had to get an IV, 1/2hr later they said I could eat! WTF!!!! Then they wanted to check for bacteria and the nurse was preparing speculum.......I was freaking! This idiot is not sticking that in me! Lucky for me he went to show the attendie and forgot! The attendie came in said he wanted to do his own u/s and forgot! Yep he had an emergency and then went home! 3 hours went by before I got to see another doctor! She said everything looked great! I waited until the nurse came back told her I never rec'd another u/s so she went to find out....well the doctors got busy gain bc I was the healthiest patient I got neglected they said! WTF let me leave then!!! So I waited and waited with a pad sticking to my sweaty butt and some pretty rough towels to prop my back up bc they had no more pillows available and straps pulled so tight that were squeezing me to the point I had rolls and itched! I was told they thought I was great but since I was referred from an outside facility they usually keep patients over night.....I told them I could see it of they saw one thing wrong even one on the 7 hrs I was hooked up but they havent and everything is great according to them so I want to go home bc this is uncomfortable and painful! The IV in my hand hurt so bad! So the whole time there I was never checked to see if I was dialated! Guess its a good thing though bc that first idiot prob wld have gotten it wrong. You just had to be there! It was the worst experience! I want these babies to stay in for sure until 34wks so I dnt have to go back to that hospital!!!! I dnt even want NST's I just want to wait until my contractions are 5 min apart, go and have them! I am so sick of appts! I will be good though and I will follow my doctor's instructions with frustration! I dnt even want to see the stupid bill from today! I am happy babies are "Great"! These girls better stay great bc this momma has endured enough! I know now how inmates feel when we release them from jail! :) I was so happy to get out of there!
