| 23-3-2009 - Again with the inlaws, just from the other side now. | My mood while writing this blog:irritated |
Ugghh, this is a never ending battle and I'm sick of it. Ryan's mom won't respect our parenting or our boundries. She is now telling people that we didn't inviter her to our daughter's baptism. And the only way to keep standing our ground is for Ryan to lose the close connection he had with his grandparents and aunts and uncles. I feel so bad for him for this. I didn't want it to come to this, but we both understand that its our spouse and kids that come first, extended family second. I'm just hoping that he won't ever resent or blame me for this.
The other thing I'm frustrated about is when this baby is born, if we are talking to his mother, how she will treat it. You see, when my son was born we lived in Peoria, IL and she drove the 3.5 hrs to come and see him and hold him. When my daughter was born, we were back in MI and the hospital I had her at was 35 min. away. When she was there Ryan was gone eating lunch with his dad and she stopped at my door but didn't come in. I asked her if she wanted to hold Ali, but she said no and went outside and sat on the steps until Ryan got back, then she left. She didn't actually hold Ali until we were out of the hospital. And she liked to tell people that she didn't know what to do with her cause she's a girl. She would say that like our baby was an alien. So I'm just wondering now how its gonna go this time. I'm thinking I just don't want her to come at all to the hospital, but I don't think Ryan will go for that. I'm sick of all this stress I don't need it or want it.
Well, I have a doctor's appointment on Thursday and am going to request they test me for Hypothyroidism. My brother has it and some of the symptoms make me wonder if I don't have a mild version of it. I'm feeling pretty good these days, I've been having mild headaches but I think I need to drink more water. I was doing so good for a while and then fell off track. My daughter is sometimes sleeping through the night which is awesome cause then I get to sleep all night! That's the other thing, I'm tired a lot still. So I'll probably write again after thursday and let everyone know how my appointment went.
I hope you ladies are all feeling great!
