07-8-2009 - 35w4d Update

My mood while writing this blog:
Excited

I had my 35-36 week checkup today and it was so good to hear I've made progress!!! I'm 1+ cm dilated and Isaac is head down at -1 to -2 station :) I knew Isaac had dropped some - I can definitely feel it in my pelvis and I've been able to breathe a bit easier as of late :) I've been so uncomfortable lately and have been having so many Braxton-Hicks contractions - it's so encouraging to know none of it has been in vain :) Isaac and I are definitely preparing to get this show on the road!

This is so exciting :) The reality of having a baby is finally starting to sink in! I can't wait to meet our little bear and I know it won't be too long now :)

My NP confirmed that 37 weeks will be full-term and I can get ready to have this baby anywhere from 37 weeks on... I hope it's closer to 37 weeks (don't we all? lol) as she guesstimated his weight to be 6lbs already and I'm scared of having a big baby (again, aren't we all?).

Good thing I'm almost packed for the hospital - now I just have to wait for the baby to decide it's time :) Come on Isaac... Daddy and the kitties and I are dying to meet you!!!

Oh my GOSH!! How EXCITING! You should be so proud of your yourself with all that progress, especially being a first time mommy!! I went in at 34 weeks and they told me I was 1 cm, so I was excited to see what progress, if any, I made... well, the doc said I wasn't dialated at all! Zip! Zero! Zilch! Nada! Two different doctors... I hope it was the second one that was wrong... *sigh* ...How frustrating! But congratulations to you!! Are you doing anything special to help you dilate?

hooray for progress! my doctor won't start checking me until 38 weeks but told me they wouldn't stop labor from now on. it's really started hitting me this week, too - the last few nights i've been doing baby laundry into the wee hours of the morning and trying to get my bag packed for the hospital. we're so close! :)

That's good news. :-) I'm getting so sore now that the baby's head is way down in my pelvis. I'll be happy whenever she decides to come. :-)
