18-8-2009 - Our Sheriff SUCKS (warning: not a nice blog)

Frustrated

Oh my god - I am so fucking pissed right now. I HATE our Sheriff's department! This is the SECOND appointment I have had with them to have the stupid car seat checked to make sure it's installed correctly. They couldn't schedule their appointments if their lives friggin' depended on it! They have the dumbest f'n clerk there that can't get her friggin' weeks straight and she told us she rescheduled our appt for TODAY. She's so dumb - she put us in the book for the 25th of this month - stupid stupid STUPID!!! The dumb ass who cancelled last minute on us last time even double checked the stupid bitch's work and confirmed with us that our appointment was for TODAY. That's 2 - count them - TWO dumb ass people working in an office of community safety that can't figure out which week is which. I swear sometimes the people in this area are so f'n inbred. OMG - you're better off handling emergencies (or anything else) yourself than calling for help in this town - the people are RETARDED.

I was so upset, I cried the whole way home and to top it off, some guy was riding my ass because I was driving the speed limit in a school zone - IT'S A FRIGGIN' SCHOOL ZONE ASSHOLE! The guy got all impatient and had to pass me - AAHHHHHHH - what a jack ass!!!!!

As soon as the value of our home goes up we are MOVING. I do NOT want to raise our son in this area, lest he take note and turn out like the majority of the residents here. I've just about had it. I hope I never have to actually call 911 and ask for help while we live here.

Sorry for the rant - I had to get it out! Pregnancy hormones + stupid people = bad mix!

What a frustrating story! I would've cried and been in a rage too. Can you make some kind of formal complaint, now that you've had a chance to cool off? Did you get your seat inspected yet? I just took mine to the the police department to get it installed two days ago, but I still feel like taking it somewhere to get it double checked! Talk about paranoia, eh?

i feel your pain, sweetie. nothing makes me more mad than MORONS and BAD DRIVERS, i swear! grrrrr, i got all steamed up just reading your blog! i'm sure you've let it go (at least a little) by now and hope you're relaxing with a nice glass of... apple juice or something! :) we were told that we could stop by any fire station to have our car seat checked but when we went to one, they were basically like... uh, no, we don't do that and it's not rocket science so figure it out yourselves. nice, eh?! anyway, i hope *both* of us are able to get this checked before our kiddies get here - and i so hear you on wanting to move to a different area when property values recover; sadly, we just got a thing in the mail yesterday telling us that we still owe $28K more than the value of our home. we bought not quite two years ago. AWESOME. stupid economy. stupid people. sigh. xox

I'm sorry you had a rough day!! When I had my daughter, my sister installed mine because in georgia the fire dept. was supposed to put it in but everytime i went they was never anyone there to put the damn thing in!!!!!
