18-3-2009 - Free at Last, sort of!

My mood while writing this blog: Trying to be patient

The big appt didn't turn out so big. ;( I guess I was hoping for a parade and some balloons or something...haha. Well, I guess I am more on house arrest now instead of confined to bed...I can be up but no sex, no pushing or pulling (i.e. vacuuming, carrying in groceries, etc.), limited walking. Bleh. I wanted them to say go back to being a normal pregnant woman, you made it! But it was more like...you made it to 34 weeks! Now make it to 36. Not that I am worried about making it to 36 weeks, but I am SO tired of being the weak, fragile, bed resting pregnant person. I want to be back to the strong, athletic young woman I was before they discovered my short cervix. I know, I know. I am much more focused on my little one's well-being even if it doesn't sound like it. I think I just hyped myself up a little too much about this appt. They won't completely release me from all the restrictions until I get to 37 weeks. That is 2 weeks 5 days...That is nothing really. After 8 weeks of bed rest, I have learned how to be patient and grateful, if nothing else. So, thank you God for keeping Jaxon safe in my belly and give me the strength to wait contentedly until he is finished cooking. =)

What a good way to look at it. He's safe in there, and in 2 weeks, it'll be safe for him to come out and meet you!

Good attitude! You'll make it...my goodness 8 weeks was tough, two will fly by, especially since you can look at more than 4 walls!

oohhooo ...congratulations!!! this is awesome...i feel the same way, want to go back to my pre bedrest self :) but ppl keep saying its a blessing in disguise..cuz once hes born u will never get to hit the bed..so njoi the downtime and good luk to 37!! btw my friends were asking abt baby shower..but i want to wait till 34 to throw one.. am totally new to this..what,how do they do these showers ??

Congrats on making it to 34 weeks. A girl in week 29 had her baby last week! I can't imagine how stressful the whole thing must be. Good luck making it to week 37.

Time wll fly by! I'm glad you made it this far and heres to holding out for a few more weeks : )
