10-7-2009 - Sleeping...

My mood while writing this blog:
Exhausted

I have not sleep good for a week and it is really starting to catch up with me, by the time I get home from work I feel like doing nothing. Now it seems like the house is starting to become a disaster area. Last night I think I was up 4 different times. I went to bed a 9 and could not get comfortable. Christian being the good guy is was rubbed my back because it was bothering me. I was finally able to get to sleep aroudn 10 and by 11 I was up because my hip was hurting that I was laying on. Got comfortable again got back to sleep and was up again at 1:15 because I had to pee. Then I was up again at 3 because of my hip bothering me, back up again at 5 because I had to pee and my alarm went off at 6. UGH!!!!!! I keep thinking if I could get 1 good night sleep I would feel so much better. Anyone have any suggestions?? I am open to just about anything at this point HAHA! I slept with a pillow between my legs. This sleeping on my side is killing me, I would much prefer to be on my belly!

From experience when I pregnant with my son.....PILLOWS...PILLOWS...PILLOWS.. alot of people say to go out and buy the body pillows but I prefer the regular ones cause i can put them where it hurts....try sticking a pillow between your upper leg and knee area..this helps many women with hip pain because well lets face it..our hips have to make room for baby too and when they spread and you don't have the 'meat' in between your legs to support. Also, try sticking a pillow under your belly, I know it might not seems like a big deal but it helped me ALOT! If your getting up alot at night, do as we would do to our kids..cut off your drinking a few hours before bed if you can....i couldn't when i was pregnant with my son..i craved water 24/7..everytime i got up to pee at night i had to have another glass.lol limit caffeine as it makes you wanna go, go, go. Hope this helps

I am in the same boat and it is so frustrating! WIsh I could I could offer you some great advice but I have nothing! I have tried lavender abths before I go to bed and that does help calm me down a bit. It's worth a shot!

I have the same problem! I get up to pee atleast twice on a good night and like you my left hip feels like it's broken! I bought a body pillow to wrap my legs around and it takes the pressure off of my hips for the most part. I like the pillow because it gives you just enough cusion to lay more toward your stomach. It's been great and it gives me at least another couple hours of sleep :-) I hope this helps.

Girl, i totally feel you...bad part is that is just gets worse... I was like that when i was pg with my son last year...Now it is starting up again... I have trouble getting comfortable. My hips kill me daily...I have found nothing that works... Me too, i am up every couple of hours either to pee or not comfortable...I am a stomach person too...When you find a solution please let me know...
