My mood while writing this blog: Ok |
Well my sis just called...she's been trying to have a baby for awile now...she had a miscarriage last year after 4.5months. The doc said it is possible for her to get pregnant it just will take awhile. So the deal is that she has been very regular for while now every 28 days on the dot...and now 2 weeks after having her last period is bleeding fairly heavy she did have cramping yesterday and she wanted to know if I know what that could mean but I was not sure...I was thinking maybe her hormones are starting to go out of wack again or maybe its because she doesn't ovulate regularly I didn't really have an answer for her. I don't think that has happened to me before so I thought I would ask you ladies.

Monday, 10 Aug Is the bleeding constant like her period or just one day of blood (only enough to fill a panty liner) and is it mixed with cervical mucus? There are different reasons for mid-cycle bleeding and since you said two weeks after her last period, one possibility could be associated with ovulation. If it is very heavy and alot, instead of guessing, I would say get an appointment with a gyno. Just a thought. DiandClover -
Monday, 10 Aug First off, I am sorry for your sister's loss last year. As for her bleeding, did she take a pregnancy test? Heavy mid-cycle bleeding can be associated with a pregnancy. Once she rules out pregnancy, she can look into other possibilities, like an over-abundance of estrogen, or a very heavy uterine lining that was building, and had to be shed. Sometimes even when regular, we just have an 'off' cycle. If your sister keeps up with heavy bleeding, she may want to go get some blood drawn to check for anemia, or vitamin B12 deficiency. They may also want to check her estrogen/FSH levels. Family doctor should be able to request this if she lives in Canada (mine did). Good luck to her! I have a website with links to help anyone trying to conceive that she might find helpful. I am TTC after miscarriages as well. Take care - very sweet of you to do some research for your sis!
