17-9-2009 - Waiting excitedly for my 2nd baby shower

My mood while writing this blog: excited

My work had a baby shower for me before I left work back in July which was really nice. But now I am waiting for my 2nd baby shower which is being organized by my mother. I have spent a total of 50 dollars on my baby since I was pregnant because I recieved clothing from newborn to size 5 from people from work who had stuff they didn't need anymore and also pretty much everything I needed for bathing baby, blankets and receiving blankets and you name it. Also I would have bought more but my mom said do worry about buying anything until the baby shower is past after I have baby and whatever is left over from my list then I can get that stuff after the baby shower...she wanted to make sure that I didn't have to get that much which is really nice...

I am anxiously waiting for Sunday because there are a couple things that would be really nice to have that I would like to buy if I don't get them at my baby shower (a baby monitor and a swing! it would be so handy right now) and other stuff too, I can't wait to go shopping for Tristan!

I went to the public health centre today for a "weight and see" appointment for Tristan. He was weighed (8lbs 15.5 ounces) and then I talked to a nurse and she let me know some helpful information and asked if I had any concerns and then I picked up some brochures and we were done. Tristan has a doctors appointment on Monday (his 2 week appt) with my family doctor and the nurses said he should be 9 lbs by then. Here's his 2 week old pic.
