05-9-2009 - 32 weeks!

My mood while writing this blog: tired

Happy Saturday, ladies! I hope everyone is doing well! These past few weeks have been pretty good. We got the crib put together and the glider and changing table in their place. The nursery looks like a nursery now! I find myself walking in there now and just standing in front of the crib or sitting in the glider. I can't believe that in 8 short weeks (or sooner!), our little one will be here. I'm starting to freak out a little bit, but not too much. I just hope it's a smooth delivery, no complications. My weight gain is still right on track. At my appointment last week I was up 23 pounds. It's really starting to show in my face, lol. I have chubby cheeks to begin with, but now I've got REALLY chubby cheeks, lol. Our shower is next Sunday and I'm very excited for that. I'm hoping the weather will be nice, since we're having a pool party/backyard BBQ. Ugggh and I've been SO emotional lately. Have any of you ladies been that way, too? Like things that shouldn't even make me cry are making me cry. I feel like a sobbing fool, lol. My back and hips continue to be a problem, but I think I've mastered rolling over in bed very carefully. And the baby is VERY active right now. The knees and elbows feel VERY weird. And the rib kicks do NOT feel good. But I'm still enjoying it all. It blows my mind everytime I sit and think about the fact that there is a tiny life inside me. A life my husband and I created. And then I cry. LOL. Anyhoo, here's the belly! And the chubby cheeks! :)
