13-4-2009 - 2nd Doctor\'s Appointment

We had our 2nd appointment today. The doctor says my uterus is exactly where it should be and just the right size. And we got to hear the heartbeat!!!!! I was soooooo nervous all day today waiting to go to this appointment. I was just so afraid there would be no heartbeat. What a RELIEF when I heard that whooshing sound! It was unreal. I squeezed my husband's hand real hard and just started crying. It was amazing. Doctor says the heartbeat is real strong and in the 150s-160s, and everything looks perfect. I'm over the moon right now.

As far as how I'm feeling...I've had THE WORST headache for the past two weeks. I think it was a sinus infection, but I'm not sure. It seems to be going away. I still haven't gotten sick (knock on wood), but I feel very nauseous if I let me belly get empty. I'm having to eat something every couple hours. But the doctor said that's fine and very common, as long as I'm not eating junk. And my legs are ITCHY!!! I have never been so itchy in my life. How ANNOYING! I seem to be getting some of my energy back, which is a godsend because my house is a WRECK! I've got some serious catching up to do. My husband has been so very good with trying to clean up as much as he can, and I love him so much for it.

Other than that...we aren't buying a house now. We ended up losing the down payment assistance we were supposed to get, and we're unable to make the payments of we roll the costs into the loan. But all is not lost. We are looking at other houses and have already made another offer on a different house (for about $30K less, too!) Hopefully they'll accept our offer and we can get that ball rolling.
