17-7-2009 - 25 weeks!

Another trying week for me, ladies. Looks like after 5 months of going through a bunch of bull, we're not going to be able to buy a house. I guess it's just not in the cards for us right now. I'm really bummed, and kinda pissed. The mortgage company we were working with told us that my credit was too low by like 34 points, but if we paid off $1500 of our credit card debt, it would bring it up enough to get approved. Well, we did it, using $1500 from our baby savings account. And it still didn't work. Now they're telling us we have to pay down more. I'm not about to deplete our savings to buy a house. No sense having a house if we can't pay the mortgage when I'm out on maternity leave. I'm so pissed off. That's $1500 that was supposed to pay our bills while I was out on leave. I know the money didn't just disappear; it's great that our credit card debt is down now. But that won't help when we need 2 months worth of bills to cover us when I'm out of work. Now there's only enough left in savings to cover just over a month. I really don't want to start this journey struggling. It's so discouraging. But anyhoo...sorry to rant. I'm just really upset. The good news is there is a two bedroom available in our apartment complex, right across the street. So we're just going to move in there. And our manager is trying to figure out a way for us to do it without having to pay transfer fees. That would be nice. But anyhoo...here's the belly! I hope you ladies have a wonderful weekend!
