02-3-2009 - What A Weekend

My mood while writing this blog: Exhausted

So as I have mentioned in my last blog my hubby fell very ill to a virus that is going through town. With the virus he also got broncitis. He is doing much better now, only he is left with a nasty cough that will probably last another week. Tonight was his first night back to work after a week and he says that he is doing fine.

Well I ended up catching the virus also (not the broncitis). So Friday night and up until Sunday I was very ill, with major chills, like freezing chills where my jaw was a chattering, and a fever of around 101.8. It was crazy one minute I was freezing cold covered in my robe and 2 blankets sweating at the same time. Then I was so horribly hot and had get all naked on my bed to try and feel some relief. I haven't felt like that since high school when I got really sick. Thank gosh it only lasted me a day and a half and now I feel much much better. Only thing is now my boys have caughten the virus also. For the past two days they have both had fevers of 102.7 and you can just see how sick they feel in their eyes. Usually when they are sick they have a fever or cough and continue being theirselves but this time around they are just practically sleeping the majority of the day and just moping around the house. Only thing is that my eldest son has developed some red freckles on his face. He has never had them before and midday today they showed up all over his face. I checked his body and his tongue and what not but they are only on his face. He doesn't scratch them or even know of them. They are just red freckles. So I called our doctor and spoke to the nurse and she said it could be a rash from the fever and to give him benadryl and if it hasn't started to disappear by tomorrow noon to take him in.

I swear it is all just so non-stop for us. First me with my 2 months of morning sickness, a scare of m/c from morning bleeding at 9 weeks, my husband's dad getting deported, my bird "Big" dying, now the virus, and possible chicken pox or some other horrible rash. I am just hoping this is the last leg of my craziness. I ready to sit back relax and enjoy my pregnancy.

Now about my pregnancy. I have been having some round ligament pain that hits me about 3x a day, and it can get painful. And most horribly sex has become uncomfy, never was with my previous pregnancies. My husband and I love to have sex so I hope it gets better from here on out. I weighed myself this morning and saw that I have lost 3 lbs. since my last ob appt. in the beginning of Oct. But at the same time have noticed that all of my pants are rather tight and uncomfy. I have felt my little bean move a few times already. I just know its my bean. And sometimes right above my pelvic bone my tummy gets really, really hard on one side or another. Pretty amazing and I'm totally loving it. I have an ob appointment on Thursday and am really hoping to hear that heartbeat. That one sound I have been dreaming of hearing for 2 months now. So that is basically all for now. Just thought I would update. I got a time out and haven't really talked to anyone except my mother-in-law so I thought I would do the next best thing and blog about my boring life.
