| 06-4-2009 - Reschedualed OB Appointment | My mood while writing this blog:Super De Duper! |
So 15 minutes later I woke up and checked my messages. And instead up confirming they were canceling and wanting me to call to reschedule. I got furious! I don't know why I got sooo upset but I was thinking, for goodness sakes I just want to hear my baby's heartbeat! So I called them up to make the new appointment. The receptionist answered and was all, "Hi Cynthia! Sorry we have to reschedule, but if you can make it in the next hour then I can fit you in." I was delighted! I agreed and hurried up to get ready and called Ruben to hurry up and get off of work so he can make it. Unfortunately they were going to send him for a random drug test and said he was going to hurry and make it as soon as possible. So I got ready asked my MIL to take care of my youngest and got my eldest ready to go with me. He is super stoked about the pregnancy and so I wanted him to go and hear the baby's heartbeat for himself.
We got there and my husband was still M.I.A., but the nurse said she adored us and would wait a little while longer to take us in so my husband could be there. Sure enough he got there 10 minutes later. So we waited and waited, about 20 minutes later my doctor finally came in. And as usual was very happy to see us. So right off the bat he laid me down to hear the heartbeat. Rey, my son, was so excited. He was all, "I hear the baby!" It was a great moment. Then my doctor says, "I got this monitor the hospital has asked for me to try out. Do you mind." I was perfectly fine, didn't know what it was exactly but I was all for it. Next thing I know he was what seems to be just another fetal heartbeat doppler in his hand, but then flips up a screen. It was a mini ultrasound machine!!! So I got to see my little miracle on a small screen today! I was ober excited. There was definitely an adorable little baby in there swimming around like crazy. It was such a great unexpected surprise. I was sooo happy.
So after all that was done and over with my doc. sent me to the hospital to schedule my ultrasound, where we will get to find out if we are going to have a boy or a girl. That was scheduled for the 29th of this month. I'm just soo excited today. I felt soo good I asked my MIL to take care of my little on awhile longer so I can go and get a mani/pedi. Now we are planning on going on a nice walk so my sons' can go and ride their new bikes.
So I'm sending you all happy thoughts and wonderful feelings. May your day go great and if not, don't sweat the small stuff. Life is beautiful and there is always something that can bring a smile to your face, even if its is just the picture of a great memory.
