02-6-2008 - Bittersweet 23 wks

My mood while writing this blog:
Joyous

Here I am on the 2nd day of June... It's a good week! Last night Tom and I were laying in bed and I just rested his hand on my tummy, and wow, did our little man make sure to let daddy know he was in there!! He was kicking the hardest I have felt so far, and it was amazing Tom was pretty floored.

This is my first day as a SAHM also! So far so good! I plan on walking 4 miles every day this week, a total of 20 miles by friday, Im motivated, as I have been on the scale and calculated where I should be... UMMMMM YA the numbers are not the same, so woops! Hope I can easily correct it with some light exercise and good eating- should be ok now that Im not sitting at a desk all day long...

And the bitter part of this week, along with all the wonderful things going on in life right now, beautiful weather, wonderful husband, being a SAHM, wonderful daughter... This week was my due date (the 4th) for the baby I miscarried back in October :*(... I know that our baby is in heaven, but I can't help but tear up a little bit, when I think to myself that this was the week he or she should have been with us. I can't help but think back to the day I went to the bathroom and screamed... Horrible memories. Awful sense of loss for Tom and I.

But here we are months later, and I am pregnant again- So it's bittersweet. I am fortunate enough to have gotten pregnant again so quickly and have a wonderful pregnancy. But it doesnt come without the thought of my baby in heaven... So anyways, Just needed to write about it and let it out! I hope you all have a wonderful week! Its going by so quickly!!

Hey you!! I'm so jealous!! My SAHM journey doesn't start until August 29th...yup that's right my notice was put in last week!! THANK GOD!! LOL Anyhow I'm sorry you're dealing with all these bittersweet emotions this week, but like you said your little angel is in Heaven and you're expecting another little miracle, so you do have a lot to be thankful for! :0) And that's amazing your little man is finally moving around hard enough for your DH to feel. Mine has been feeling my tummy every night and hasn't felt it yet, even though I'm feeling it moving around daily now... can't wait for the big KICK!! :0) Ohhh and I'm starting my fitness routine this week-- I've gained 12lbs (which I'm within the right gain range, but still...blehhhhh) so I have decided to quit my junk food eating and walk, walk, walk!! I'll be going to the gym everynight for about 30-45 minutes on the elliptical machines and the treadmill -- hopefully that helps!! Well I just wanted to let you know that I am thinking about you!! Hope you had a great weekend!! ::Hugs::

Welcome to SAHM mom club! It is AWESOME!!! Today Presley and I baked a cake for Dad and did some laundry! I truly love being a mom.
Thank you so much for your message! I am starting my workout program tomorrow. So, today I pigged out! I posted that picture of me on the fridge, so that will remind me of what I am striving for. I am doing much better today, but it's hard being summer and all. You see all these skinny women in their bikinis. You know the feeling. I had a doctor apt on Monday and I was 180lbs. So, I lost 22lbs after having Presley. Now I only have 45 more to go. I can do it!
