04-11-2008 - emergency c section

My mood while writing this blog: tired

had an emergency c section sunday. my baby boy is 2 pounds 8 ounces and 15 1/2 inches long. he is in the NICU but breathing room air, and on a feeding tube. he is doing really well and we dont expect to have many problems. i am doing fine and everything with the surgery went well. will write more when i have time i have to go see my baby.

Yes! I am so happy when I saw his beautiful pics..and breathing room air! Awesome baby! He is determined and in no time he will be getting big and strong. These little ones are tough little cookies. :) It's really weird because I was JUST thinking about you. Can't explain that one. Maybe a mommy thing. I went to the IC page to check you ladies out and make sure all was ok. There was the announcement from ellie. The pics are so sweet and many best wishes to you and your husband. Take good care of yourself and rest a bit, if you can. I know you must want to be by his side all the time. I wouldn't be able to stop staring. They're just so beautiful! Many Congrats!!!

congratulations. It's amazing your little chap is breathing air - must be a fighter like his mummy! I hope you are recovering o.k. from your c-section...thank goodness it all went as well as possible...it seems so recently that the drs were telling you that you would have this baby weeks ago...and now he's born at 30 weeks and so much stronger than he would have been if they'd been right.
