Write a new blog

My mood while writing this blog: relieved |
Timothy's surgery went well. He is such a trooper. they thought being so young he would have a problem coming off the oxygen but low and behold when he woke up screaming and wanting the tube out of his throat. they also thought he would have a hard time eating and little man woke up hungry and wanting his bottle. He will be coming home tomorrow. new years day. They just wanted to keep him to make sure he will be ok to come home for 48 hours after the surgery. Me and daddy picked out his coming home outfit and gathered blankets and diapers and all that good stuff. we have 3 diaper bags full of stuff.....yeah i know im over prepared but i would rather take too much than not enough. We are headed to the hospital today and are staying with my mom tonight. Timothy will be 2 months old on the 2nd so its about time he gets home. He was 5 pounds 15 ounces last night so he will probably reach the 6 pound mark by tomorrow. so 2 months and 3.5 pounds later we will have our little man home.
we are also moving in 2 weeks. we decided this place is just no longer big enough. we had been looking around and found a place that is perfect. so we are getting that ready. as well as my husband is leaving for florida on a work trip on the 4th. he will be gone 10 days. its a lot going on at once but we can handle it.

Thursday, 1 Jan Congrats on your little man coming home! I read your blogs about him and it reminded me of my own son. My little miracle boy was born on October 17 (nine weeks early) due to pregnancy induced hypertension and intra-uterine growth restriction (his umbillical cord had only two vessels instead of the normal three) he weighed 2lbs 12ozs and was 16.75 inches long. By the time he was 48 hours old, he was breathing on his own. He spent 38 days in the NICU and had no problems at all. He just needed to grow. He came home on November 24 weighing 4lbs 7ozs and 17.25 inches long. He is now 6lbs 2ozs and 19 inches long. We are taking him to be circumsized on Jan. 23 at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital because it will have to be done by a Pediatric Urologist and he will need to be under general anesthesia. I am glad to hear your little one's hernia surgery went well and that he woke from the anesthesia without problems. From one preemie mom to another, best of luck and enjoy your little man. Savor every precious moment like I know you will. Keep updating for all of us. You can check out my page for updates on my little man if you like. I look forward to reading more about him in the future as you begin your life with him at home. Have a great new year and don't look back! stargazer530 -
