26-1-2009 - Settled in

My mood while writing this blog: tired

We have finally started to settle in to the new house. we are extatic at the amount of space we have now. we still have to go buy some dressers. our last place had them built in. so we are kind of living out of laundry baskets. it took us forever to get our internet turned on. my husband ended up calling them 5 times a day until they finally just said ok we will do it today. they were going to make us wait until the 26th. its so nice being here. before we lived right by my inlaws. and well my MIL drives me crazy. now she has to drive across town to annoy me. she has succeeded one time which ended in me letting my DH know that she will NEVER be alone with my son. she told me that i didnt need to feed him when he is hungry i should just let him cry. which i found absurd. he has a metabolic condition that requires him to eat every 3-4 hours. then she told me i WANTED my son to be sick. i had to explain to her that genetic disorders dont go away and this is something we have to deal with. plus they think there may be a thyroid issue with him. these are not things i have asked them to test. these are things the doctors are looking at. things that trained medical professionals are telling me. but she thinks she knows better than the doctors. Dh is stuck in the middle of it all. i feel bad for him but then again i think well who cares. i will not allow that woman who didnt even raise her own children right to tell me how to raise mine. but oh well. she hasnt come over since. and i refuse to go to her house. my FIL comes by to see the baby and thats fine with me. he is awesome.

Timmy is doing good though. he is a bit fussy at times but usually just wants to cuddle. he refuses to sleep in his crib or bassinet. im not too fond of having him in bed with us but i have to get some sleep somehow. he is 8 pounds now. i cannot believe how big he is getting. he smiles and sometimes will give you a little giggle. he keeps trying to hold his bottle...i think he is a bit young to do that yet. he is taking cereal in his formula to help with reflux. and so far doing well at it. he takes about 4 ounces every 3 hours. the other night he went 4 hours between feedings and i was in heaven. that extra hour really helps.

anyways i just wanted to fill everyone in on how things are on this end.
