15-7-2009 - Need your HELP

hi ladies...i need URGENT help. . My son is now 9 1/2 months and i have been exclusively bf him. I will be returning to college full time next month. I am trying to wean him off the breast...he seems to be doing good. My son is a big boy and always has been so i have a great supply of milk that met his demand. I honestly can't even remember the last time i pumped since he always demanded soo much. However what the heck am i supposed to do about my milk now????? I was thinking of pumping but since i haven't done that in a long time will my body keep producing milk if i pump? I even had to start wearing nursing pads again because they are constantly full. I kept trying to express them but like i said they are constantly full. I literally had to place two towels under me in my bed last night while they leaked.So how do i make my body stop producing milk yet still release it? Also how long does it normally take for your milk to stop coming when once you stop bf? Thanks in advance ladies

hello i breast fed my daughter until5 months andwhen i decided to stop it was a lil hard because my breast. were still producing milk about a month later but a lot less than when i was breastfeeding. i had a coupke of embarrasing moments when milk seeped through my shirts at work...lol but it normally takes about 1 month and a half... remember the less u give the breast the less your body produces good luck...if u have any questions just let me know on my page.
