11-9-2009 - Got a call from the dr today

My mood while writing this blog:
ecstatic

So the dr called me today to check and see whats been going on. I go on post for my ob care. I originally go to one of the clinics but they don't do ob there so they transfer preggo women to the main hospital. However you have to be seen at the clinic first so they can put in the ob referral. My prenatal appt was scheduled for the 24th. (which means i would have to wait until after the 24th to even schedule my u/s or be urgently seen at the hospital) If you guys remember i was having lower abodomen pain and was worried about having an ectopic pregnancy. Well the other day i was in quite a bit of pain so i tried to call in to the hospital and schedule a same day appt so i wouldn't have to wait hours in the ER. Well they told me i couldn't be seen since i didn't have my referal. I went to the ER that day but they were on 383 and i had number 446. AWFUL...and there were no seats left. Anyways so the doctor called and said that if the pain got worse or i started bleeding or spotting over the weekend i would have to go to the ER since the hospital would be closed but she went on and did my OB referal ahead of time so now i could make a same day appt during the week at the hospital if i need to. She also told me she put in my consult for my dating U/S!! YAY so exciting because they also make you wait after your first appt to even do that. I'm so excited....so she gave me the number to call on Monday and schedule a date for it!! I'm sooo excited! AHHH what a relief. Now on the update with the pains, like i told her today why i'm not really worrying to much (of course i'm a little worried) is because i'm not bleeding or spotting. The other day it had seem to get worse but yesterday and today it hasn't been as bad. Like i told her it comes and goes, i have a high tolerance for pain so i do want to get it checked out so i'm not overlooking something major but i also don't want to stress myself if its something common in a pregnancy like a yeast infection. Well ladies, i just got home from classes, long day with 3 exams so i'm about to take a nap. Hope you all are doing well. I really appreciate all of you who take the time out to give words of encouragement, advice or those that even check up on me. You guys are the best!!!

cant wait to hear on monday how you aare... i wouldnt be too worried cos i had the same at 5 weeks to about 6 and it turned out to be nothing. i think its that everything starts stretching sooner. anyway best of luck and hope you feel better sooner xx

I don't know what your pain is, but I hope you feel better soon and that soon you'll see your little one on the U/S soon! Hang in there!
