20-10-2009 - d/a update

My mood while writing this blog:
ecstatic

Well we had our 10-12 week d/a yesterday at 11wks and 2 days. As for me i lost some weight which i wasn't surprised since i was really really sick with a bad case of the flu last week and literally couldn't even keep down a sip of water with my meds. Also my blood pressure was high (well seemed high to me) it was 138/76 when it is normally around 106/60. Is that high???? i forgot to ask my dr about it with all that went on at my d/a....so on to that. So this is the appt that they do the full physical exam, pelvic exam, pap and cultures and all that other stuff. She did my physical exam first and then did my pelvic exam. She then tried to find the baby's heartbeat NO LIE for at least 20 mins. Now let me remind ya'll same thing happened with my son....its the worst feeling ever to have to lay there while they are searching for it with all the bad thoughts running through your head. Anyways so i'm just laying there and laying there and laying there just praying. So she reassures me that i'm only 11wks and normally its around 12 wks that it can be heard on a doppler. so she says she'll do my pap and all that and once we are done she'll go hunt down the little u/s. Get done with the pap and she brought back the u/s. So as she starts moving it around i see the baby but normally i can spot the heart beating right away...this time i didn't. I'm literally about to break down and then i see the most amazing thing ever.......i see my little one just go crazy in there!! OMG WHAT A BLESSING to see my child BOUNCING and JUMPING AROUND!! i didn't get to see that with jr. It literally was the cutest thing no lie. I was also so surprised to see how much change and growth it has made. It seemed like it hasn't been that long since we had our dating u/s and it literally looked like just a bean and now it looked like a BABY!!!!! Heartbeat was good and in the 160s. I am telling ya'll God is good all the time, all the time God is good! Hope you all are doing good.
