20-11-2008 - BED REST/ PRETERM LABOR

My mood while writing this blog: BLAH

Well as of last Friday my doc put me on bed rest!! Which is very upsetting because Christmas( is right around the corner and disability takes 4 ever to go thru..aaannndd i'm gonna miss work!!

Anyways last Thursday morning about 4am i started having contractions, every 3-4 mins..that was scarey!! So i timed them for about an hour to see if they would slow up..no change! By now its 5 something and my BD is getting up for work, so i told him what was going on and we paged the doc and went to the hospital. Its now 7am..still no change. So they put me on IV and gave me 2 shots (1 for the babys Lungs) and (1 to relax my cervix)..it did slow up the contractions, but i was still having them! Now they check to see if im dialated or if the cervix is opening....I'm good!!...but they still admit me to monitor me for 24 hours....that sucks!! So now its Friday evening and doc is discharing me only to tell me he's taking me outta work and i'm on bed rest!!..now you know i'm pissed at this point!! i went in the bathroom and shed a few tears..lol..(i'm so emotional)....and this whole bed rest thing is gettn to BD head cuz everytime i try to do something he's like no your suppose to be off your feet...mind you i have to other children to tend to as well...lol...this is crazy!!

Anyways they sent me home and put me on Procardia...which is suppose to relax the cervix and basically put a hold on the whole labor and delivery...so far its been a week and Lil Messiah isnt here yet...hopefully he will hold out til my actual due date or maybe a few weeks sooner(lol)!! ( oh but i am still havin those darn contractions not in a pattern though)...so thats my PRE TERM LABOR STORY!!
