Faith huh...
Current mood: Faithful
Category: Faithful Life

It is very easy to have faith the size of a mustard seed and move mountains and all that good stuff when things are going good and everything around you just seems to fall in place in the most random ways and immediately we say "God is definitely working..." However, what do we say when things are not going as planned? What do we say when all hell just breaks loose and you feel all alone? What do we say when the doctor gives you a diagnosis that you really don't want to hear? What do I say when the doc says our baby only has a 1% chance of survival?

In what most certainly has to be the roughest season of my life, this is truly when my faith is being tested...It is so easy to ask, Lord why me? I do all the right things, I don't mess with anyone or try to do any harm? But then I think to myself what Job went through and how he endured all that stuff...But I'm always counseling others that "you have to believe God and not just IN Him..." I'm always saying stuff like "you have to be a broken vessel in order to be in a position where He can use you..." I'm always telling people this stuff when in actuality everything I say is also meant to minister to me and my needs to...Even those needs that I haven't even faced yet, His Word is never out of season at all...

I'm learning that my faith can't really be tested until I'm faced with a situation that I really don't have any type of control over...I can't fully say "in thee oh Lord, I put my trust" when I always feel that if a situation comes up, I have all the answers to whatever scenario that may arise...

The preface of this blog is based on some disturbing news my wife received while at the doctor's office yesterday...I am not going to at all get into any specifics because basically, and i'm saying this the nicest way possible, it's none of ya business lol...But they're basically saying there's no chance our baby's gonna make it...I respect the knowledge that the doctors possess and what not, but in my mind they don't have the final say...For a God who created all the Heavens and everything we see now, what's a situation like this to Him...There is a verse in Hebrews 11:6 that comes to mind basically saying "Without faith it is impossible to please God...he who cometh to God must believe that He is and that He's the rewarder of them that diligently seek Him..."

Well if there ever was a time we're seeking Him, it is definitely right now...We definitely need direction as well as the prayers of those out there who also believe in the power of God..."Is there anything to hard for God?" My answer to that is a resounding NO!!! I'm looking forward to our testimony when this season passes...And no matter whatever happens, He is still our God and He will get all the glory that He is due! There will be opposition and people who call us crazy and confused, however in spite of all that, "The joy of the Lord is our strength..."
