Busy

Well I have not a menstrual cycle since February despite the prenatals, Metformin, and Provera. I went back to Dr. on Monday to see what's up. She said that she felt bad because everything we have tried isn't working. She also said it's a catch 22 b/c PCOS prevents me from having a period and being fertile, but usually what works with PCOS to get a period is birth control (especially when the other things we tried didn't work). So she has set me up with a fertility doctor to talk to and she is going to allow me to weigh my options and let her know what I want to do. I see him on Friday. (If anyone on here has gone to a fertility doctor in Boardman behind Goldstein furniture on Tippecanoe, please message me so can get a feel of your experience with him). I really don't know what I want to do. I am just going to pray and fast about it and let the Lord lead me when I get the consultation. Not sure hubby's position b/c he generally tries to avoid it b/c of the disappointment of it all. He will talk when he is ready. My faith will continue in God and I am standing on his word that " He grants the barren woman a home, Like a joyful mother of children. Praise the LORD! " Psalm 113:9. She did give a sample pack of bc for one month so I can have a period, too.

Pray the Lord bless all of us according to His riches in glory, and grants the peace and serenity to go through the process of receiving them. Congrats to those who are prego or have had their babies. Keep on pressing and don't give up to those who are still ttc.

Keep that faith! That is awesome and so refreshing to read! I have pcos too and periods did not become regular until they gradually upped me to 2000mg Metformin per day. It causes a lot a gastric upset but goes away eventually. After about 2 years of regular periods, I was able to become pregnant ( but lost it - not related to pcos). I wish you luck. Be cautious of fertility specialists and make sure they care abiutyou not just the money. I had a specialist jump immediately to IVF and practically threw the loan app in my lap! Needless to say, I fired her. Andthen a few mo the later I was blessed with that pregnancy. Even tho I experienced a loss, it was still the most incredible experience! I wishyou luck. Keep the faith and I will add you to my prayers. Kristi

Hey girl,

Let me tell you I know how you are feeling. Now from what i read from your past posting; you just found out you have PCOS. When I first found out that I had PCOS it took a while for my cycle to come back on a regular cycle. I too was placed on of the medication you are taking now. The meds didn't work right away the dr sent me to a fertility specialist. I went to FS who was great told me if I took the meds and diet my cycle should fall in the place. This was about two in half years ago. However, I slack on doing it I was not taking when I was suppose to. I was not serious enough. Then this past year( i think or longer) I did it, I am currently on Metforminm, Prenatal Pills, vitamins, and iron pills. I happy to say for almost two years my cycle has been regular. I am getting it every month between 28-30 days in between. I have also LOST about 20 lbs and still going. I think you stay on your pills and let work it magic everything should fall in its place. I hope this helped you!! God Bless let me know if I can help you in any way!!
