I brought in my Birth Plan too and we all talked a long time about the delivery. It is amazing how close it is already. The only thing a little disturbing is next visit is the scheduled strep test. I wasn't planning on taking it, but I guess the hospital will give you a really hard time if you don't take and they will want to draw blood from your baby (I go to a birth center). They are really good with everything else. Also, I guess if you want to leave with out a doctors release they made a new hospital policy that they will call CPS and sic the government on you for making your own parental decisions. And if I refuse to have my baby poked and drugged I can look like an unfit parent. That is so obnoxious to me. It seems so wrong and such a violation of human and parental rights. The Birth Center will be fighting the policy.
So, we decided to take the test and hopefully I will be negative. If I'm not, there is a good pediatrician that might be willing to release me with out all the interference. Other than that I'm almost done with everything for baby. Midwife said I might be a little low. I still think he's coming early. After Christmas, before New Year. I can't wait to meet my little guy! Hope you ladies are all doing well. Baby dust to all of you!
