23-12-2008 - False Alarm

My mood while writing this blog: Wishing for Patience

Hello Everyone. Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas if I don't talk to you before then! After all this talk about the sweep on Tuesday I ended up not having it. :( My midwife said she was thinking about it and knowing she can't be there on Christmas she thought it better we do it next week instead. Of course, my Hubby had already thought of that and was concerned, but me in my single-mindedness could only think of getting baby out! We agreed, of course. It would be frightening to do it without her. Sigh. So, my next appointment is Monday.

Another good thing about this (I guess) is that I would really rather go in to labor naturally, without so much as a sweep. So, baby has 5 days to make his appearance. Sad thing is, I was hooked up to the baby monitor for 15 minutes (he is moving great, heart healthy) and did not have a single contraction. Boo hoo. I have been thinking he would be born the day after Christmas and have not even prepared for the possibility that he won't! Ha! Silly girl. It's looking pretty bleak though. NOTHING IS HAPPENING!!! Well, aside from the contractions I had yesterday. Hubby called in to work and everything, but they went away at about 1:30 pm. This last month really is hard.

Ok. Done wining now. The holidays are fast approaching and either way, we will all see our babies very soon! So, that is a good thing. I wish you all the warmest wishes for the season. I hope you are surrounded by loved ones and all our babies are healthy and come at just the right time. God bless everyone. xoxox

I know how you feel :( I so want Joel to be here. I was also contracting most of yesterday and was kinda thinking he was going to make his appearance last night.. nope! Still playing around in there at 4am this morning lol! I need patience too!

I understand and sympathise with the frustration! It is so annoying, I just wish my body would make it's mind up too. Hope you have a fab Christmas and Happy New Year xxx

I am two weeks ahead of you and still no signs as well. Looks like you will be having your baby before me! I wish you the best. I am sure you are so excited. Not long now!
