| 27-12-2008 - Sick | My mood while writing this blog:Calm |
The very thing I tried to not happen to me did, I done came down with a very bad cold. At my job everybody came down with this cold that seems to be spreading like wild fire. I am doing everything in my power to get rid of it. I am drinking alot of clear liquid, such as water and decaffeinated herbal tea (trying to avoid dehydration during the process) and sucking on lozenges. Everytime I cough, I feel like I had pulled something in my stomach. But I am thankful, cause I know for a fact I could be a lot more sicker than I am.
I called a nurse yesterday to get some advice, she practically told me the do's and dont's when caring for a cold, then she asked me when was the last time I felt the baby move. I told her two days, but I have been so busy that I haven't been paying attention. Immediately she went crazy and was like you have to go to Labor and Delivery triage when we get off the phone. I work at the hospital so it was nothing but a hop, skip and jump for me to get there.
They placed me on a monitor to listen to the baby's heartbeat, my daughter would not keep still for nothing. I thought it was funny. You could actually hear her moving around and see the monitor thing jumping on my stomach. If I didn't feel her before, I sure felt her move all around then. The doctors had to keep coming back to place the monitor on her, she did not like that thing. But the doctor told me not to really expect to feel every move my daughter make because I am only 24 wks which is still early and my baby still have room to move around. When I am around 27wks and 28wks is around the time I would feel alot more of my babie movements. I am just glad my baby is ok, which I already new by the way, but I can't never pass up a chance to hear my baby heartbeat even when it was unnessary.
