14-3-2009 - Good Bye Grandma

My mood while writing this blog: Sad

This blog is for my Grandma. Last night my grandmother who was 97 years old died. I'm very sad but at the same time its a true blessing. She had some strokes in the pass and this last one claimed her life. She was given two weeks to live, then became one week. Finally Monday 03-09-2009 given 24 hours she made it to Friday. The women was a true fighter!!

I called her on Thursday this week because I'm in Wisconsin and she's in Oregon. I called her and had the nurse put the phone to her ear and I got to talk to her. At this point my grandmother could no longer speak. I told her that her great Grandbaby was doing great. I also got to share baby names with her. Grandma and I also had a promise to one another I would send her pics and go see her no matter what when and where she's at when she turns 100!! At the end I was a crying mess but was able to say good-bye and I love you!! I wonder if she was waiting to hear from me about the baby before she passed away. I can only think that is what she might of been waiting for.

Awww. Sounds like she lived a long, good life =)
Its good that you got to say goodbye. Try and remember the good times.
