30-5-2009 - Braxton Hicks Contractions

Well yesterday I was on the computer and all of the sudden my stomach started feeling weird, like if the baby was pushing against my stomach...It wasnt painful...It didnt feel like a kick..More like my stomach was getting tight...It lasted for about 20 seconds...So I was thinking could it be braxton hicks contractions?? Has anyone felt the same feeling?

We're both 25 weeks! And yes, I have felt these before. I described it as feeling like I was growing huge by the second, then my stomach would tighten up hard. Really weird.

Yep thats a braxton hick...a spot on your tummy will tighten and then go away...and thats contractions feel like too.

Yeah sounds like it to me, I never had them with my first pregnancy so i didn't know what they felt like but i got them throughout my whole pregnancy with my son, they can get pretty uncomfortable if you get them alot, I would get mine laying in bed at night and I felt like I couldn't breathe, I would have to sit up until they went away.
