Ok so last week (09/03/09) was Elijah's 2 week appt. Everything went great! He's jaundice went down, they checked his weight, and he gained quite a few...His weight was 7lbs 6.9oz and he grew an inch. He's 20in now. His birth weight was 6lbs 11oz (on 08/18/09). He's doc says he's gaining pretty well. So since Im having trouble breastfeeding I saw a lactation consultant today. They checked Elijah's weight again. He now weighs 8lbs 6oz. So basically he's gaining 2 oz a day...The nurse says thats a lot, he should be gaining half of that lol!! I have a feeling he's going to be a big boy like his daddy. He's does eat a lot. 3oz already sometimes 4oz. I was concerned though because he spits up a lot, I was wondering if he was even gaining any weight. But he is...its because he's eating too much that's why he spits up a lot. Thank god he's doing great though. Everythhing is going well with the breastfeeding too..We just need to keep practicing so he can get the hang of it...It does get frustrating at times, but damn it! I'm determined to do it...lol!

That is awesome to hear he is doing so well! My little girl has gained 2lbs in the last 3weeks and eats like a little piggy :o)
