01-7-2008 - Day 7 Still wondering

My mood while writing this blog: Afraid

Well, I just got back from the Hospital and visiting my precious little baby girl. She was sleeping on her little belly, they were giving her a breathing treatment as we were leaving, she still has the nasal cannula. They sad she has a infection in her bloodstream called "Cockeye" they are not sure how she got it. I have tried researching it and all it brings up is the condition known as a Squinting eye, so its probly spellled different than I am writing it when I search. Anyhow, they are giving her antibioitics for it. They said there is something on the top of her intestines, they dont know what it is yet either, they are giving her Ibuprofen to close the PDA in her chest. I beleive they have done two spinal taps on her already, this is how they found the infection. They are gonna run a brain scan soon also. Im just so worried about her. She is so adorable. I have a new pic of her with her little eyes open that I am going to scan and post on here later this evening. They said she is still fiesty as ever. I wish I knew what the infection was and how that she got it, it worries me. They said they think she got it from the arterial line that was put in her belly because it was oozing some when they took it out and put in the PICC line. That frightens me. Ill post more when I know more.
