My mood while writing this blog: Relieved but tired

We got to go and see the baby again yesterday afternoon. We had to take some milk up there for her. She was resting peacefully, Brittany was able to get some more photos of her without all the tubes now. Ill try and upload some of them later today so that you can see how she has improved. She will be 3wks old Monday. Seems like its been 3 long weeks in the NICU. We had a bit of a scare yesterday, she had been throwing up her milk quite a lot and they said she acted like she wasnt feeling well, they checked her blood cultures and she didnt have any infection, so that was good. Then they did an x-ray of her stomach and they said everything was good there. She had a full tummy,. so in the end they decided that it was probly just the supplemental formula they had given her since they ran out of mothers milk for a couple feedings, they figure it didnt agree with her little stomach. They are gonna try another kind later, to see if she can tolerate it, if we cant get the problem fixed with moms milk. Yes, she has spoken with the lactation consultant. They gave her some cream to rub on her breasts. Tomorrow we are calling her OB doc to see what he says, Im thinking she may have a breast infection too. She says she is not getting any milk at all from one of them and the other one milk flow is very minimal..so who knows? I bought her this Lactation Vitamin..Herb..whatever its called, it has Fenugreek and Blessed Thistle and some more herbs in it to take yesterday. She started them last night so guess we will just have to see how it goes. Lilly has gained another roommate also. One baby was born at 34 weeks, its Mother went into a seizure at her OB docs office and she says she doesnt remember anything after being weighed. She had to have an Emergency C-Section because her BP shot up. The other baby in there we know nothing about, it was just born yesterday. My son in law called up to the NICU to see about Lilly last night and they told him to call back in an hour that one of the Nurses there on the NICU had gone into Preterm labor and they had gone up to be with her. Thats scary, working in the NICU and then going into preterm labor too. I think that would cause me to worry more, because I would know just what my baby was in for. I hope she does well. Maybe we will learn more about her baby today. Thats all I have to report now. Hope everyone has had a good weekend!
