| 15-7-2008 - So many Preemies...but good news, really good! | My mood while writing this blog:Happy |

JUST LOOK AT GRANNYS GIRL AND THAT SMILE!!!!
Sorry its taken a bit to update again. Gosh this has been a busy week and its just begun! lol First, Lilly is doing great!!! She has graduated to a new isolette, its not as complicated as the other one she was in. She is now sharing her room with 4 other babies, two were born yesterday. They have moved her into the corner and the nurses told Brittany that it was great that she had been moved into the corner as that means she is getting closer to getting to come home!!! She still has to be in the Open Air Bed, which is the next step up, as soon as they feel she can regulate her body temp. And she has to be bottle feeding, which comes at 34 weeks. So she still has a while to go but she is making great progress, all the IV`s and tubes are out of her and she is breathing 100% on her own. She just has the feeding tube ran into her nose. She is so precious. All the family got to see her yesterday, some for the first time. And of course they oooohed and awed at her. She is just so tiny and precious. Mom and Daddy are busy today with a NICU 411 class, which lasts for 3 hours so Ill try and update again later. I have some more pics to upload of her , Im trying to get my PC to cooperate though.
There are so many premature babies there it is unbelievable! The NICU is the only one between St. Louis and Memphis so Im guessing that is why. I just never realized there were so many preemies. A couple there of had to be flown to St. Louis since Lilly has been there though. But for the most part they all seem to be growing and thriving. One is Insulin Dependent though, Im assuming its mother must have had diabetes or something? Well, Ill update again soon.
