| 20-7-2008 - Morning Update..again | My mood while writing this blog:Happy |
Just a quick update. There really isnt much more to tell at this point, but since several here have asked about her today I have decided to go ahead and post the latest info on her. At this point she is doing great. Still in the Isolette. She was moved into it from the original Incubator. She was staying warm and so they realized that she must be able to regulate her own body temp as her temp was elevated and had no other signs of infection, so they decided to turn the room air off in her isolette to see if she could indeed regulate her body temps and that was what it was. Her temp returned to normal and has stayed there. She can now regulate her temp on her own! Which is a milestone we have crossed once again (one of many). They plan on moving her into the open air bed sometime soon. The only tube she has at this point is the feeding tube in her nose. She will keep that until she reaches a gestational age of 34 weeks. Only a couple more weeks. Then they will begin Bottle Feeding her. Moms milk dried up completley, she had a case of Mastitis and then her milk just completely stopped coming. So with much regret they have placed Lilly on formula. She is tolerating it very well though. They tried her on a preemie formula and she couldnt tolerate that so they started her on a regular Newborn formula and she has taken to that. They of course are adding a supplement to the formula to give her extra vitamins and a boost that she needs. She still has the heart monitor attached to her chest and the little oxygen monitor attached to her foot. Other than that she is tube free. She is so adorable. She has certainly came a long way. I would love to post all the new pics of her I have but I am on dial up right now and my ISP has been giving me a fit with a lot of disconnects this weekend. We are going back Monday to see her, so momma and daddy can spend the week with her once again. Ill update that afternoon when I get back from the hospital.
