24-7-2008 - 3 lbs 9 ozs and growing!!!

My mood while writing this blog: Happy

Baby Lillianna (Pronounced Lilly-Ah-Nah) is growing like a weed. She is up to 3lbs and 9 ozs now. We spoke with the Doctor this morning and she said its just a matter of her learning to suck so that she can be bottle fed. They keep introducing the pacifier to her daily to try and get her to nipple feed, but she isnt having it yet, she is close to 33 wks so the Dr said that it was normal at this stage, most wont feed until 34 wks. So once she begins to learn to feed from the bottle and is taking some formula then she will be ready to go home. She has been there 4 wks now. She had some clothes on when we visited her last, which was a first for her. Im glad she is getting able to be dressed at this point. She looked so sweet, just like her mother when she was a baby. But of course I would say that because her mother is my daughter. I can see some of her daddys features in her too. I dont want to be like my mother in law was when our children were born, all my kids had their traits from "Her" side of the family dont u know? lol Lilly is resting comfortably, if we could get her to leave her feeding tube in her nose, she is a fiesty little britches and keeps pulling it out. lol Ill update again as we know more.
