| 19-3-2009 - One year old! | My mood while writing this blog:Happy |
Just thought I would update all of you on how things have been going....
My son, Miles is 1 year old today! At 12:41 (the minute he was born) today I called and sang Happy Birthday and at that same time my husband, Andy sent me a text saying happy birthtime to me too! What a doll! I am so reminescent today and teary a lot but in a good way! We'll be celebrating his birthday on Sunday with family and a cookout (God and weather willing!). I will post pics after too!
It has been officially 2 weeks today since my D&C and things are better. I stopped bleeding as of this past Sunday and even my spirits seem to have lifted some! I think about our lost baby frequently and on a daily basis but I am also thinking I might want to try again soon. We'll see what the doctor says at my follow up appointment nest Wednesday (3/25/09).
My husband is still working on the job hunt...I think he's getting a little concerned but I keep telling him, "It's only been 2 weeks, give it time". I know it's hard though. Talking to so many people in my profession, many of their spouses have also lost their jobs (teaching-especially special ed-is pretty secure) and some have been looking for 6 months or more! We just keep praying that an opportunity will open up somewhere soon. Until then, he is a stay at home daddy and it is so nice to see how much closer my boys have already gotten! It's a great chance for some quality Miles and Daddy time that many dads don't ever get-so in a way, he's lucky!
Thanks to all of you for your non-stop support and messages. I love to see the new message sign on my profile and read your blogs/messages-there are some wonderful people on this site!
